Both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are quite popular in the thermal bath: in order to skip the lines building up by the thermal baths, you can pre-book a fast track Szechenyi bath ticket online. If you want a massage in Szechenyi Baths too, reserve it weeks before the NYE holiday (they are primarily booked up in the so called Private Spa packages, which come with a room for 4 hours). Otherwise you may not get an available appointment. You can book a 20 or 45 minute Aroma massage, or a stronger Refreshing massage.
Buy your ticket online in advance with a private cabin and fast track entry to have a peace of mind. Note: regular tickets and fast track tickets do not include rental (no towel). Bring a pair of slippers as the outdoor areas are cold and it is obligatory to wear slippers or clogs or beach shoes in between the pools.

For young tourists under about 40 years of age, the New Year Bath Party in Szechenyi Baths is a must do experience, so if you have nothing to do on December 30, book your NYE Sparty ticket (Dec 30 is not a typo, it is a party before the party)
