In 2019 / 2020 the New Year concert season offers some nice concerts to enjoy in Budapest. We have also included the days before and after New Year to make your options more flexible.
Concerts are available at the end of December on Dec 29, Dec 30, Dec 31 and the new year of 2020 starts with New Year’s Day Concerts on January 1.
Dec 31, 2019 Concerts in Budapest
New Year’s Eve Concert in Danube Palace
Probably one of the richest and most versatile concerts on Dec 31 will take place in the beautiful building of Danube Palace Concert Hall, the 19th century palace near the river Danube in Budapest. New Year’s Eve Concert in St. Anne’s Church
Budapest Inner City St Anne’s Church Concert (Belvarosi Szent Anna Templom), featuring Mozart, Vivaldi and more. The careful selection of baroque music will be a marvellous way to say farewell to the old year conversing with your innermost love for Baroque music. Date: TBC
Lighter NYE Concerts with Parties
Live Salon and Gypsy Music will be played some of the award winning players of the Hungaria Folk Orchestra (earlier known as the Rajko Gypsy Band). In addition to the Gypsy and salon music, you can watch the live Hungarian Folk Dance Show aboard the ship event dubbed the Budapest New Year’s Eve Party Cruise

New Year Concert in Matthias Church Budapest
Enjoy the New Year in Hungary with a Baroque classical music concert. The works of Vivaldi, Bach, and Händel will be featured in the beautifully restored Matthias Church in the Buda Castle in Budapest. The date of the New Year Concert in Matthias Church has not been scheduled yet for 2019.

New Year Concerts in St Stephen’s Basilica Budapest
The beautiful and magnificent church of Budapest, the St Stephen’s Basilica in the city centre is always a favourite of church concert goers in Hungary. Classical music concerts are regular.
